Adventures! sorry it is a long one, sewers and fireplaces etc.

Well life has been a little crazy around here! we are already struggling financially and have scrimped and saved for Christmas, our basement if full of mold and we are continually sick because of it. We finally had enough money to buy a wood fireplace for the basement so we can cook the mold out. Well right after we purchased it things just started happening. It is huge and almost didn't fit in our basement, it is still not hooked up we are just waiting to get help to make sure that everything is cleaned out, but as we were going through things in the basement we realized that our fruit room is not sealed so we are trying to figure that out so that we don't loose everything. Well we were finally thinking that things are looking on the up side, I just received my student teaching assignment to here in St. Anthony for both an earth science class and a life science class which I am both terrified and excited for. We celebrated both Jace's and my birthdays and had a great Thanksgiving. Well Saturday morning after Thanksgiving we spent time cleaning the basement and getting things ready for the fireplace. We got hungry and our house was a mess with things we brought up to get out of the mold. We decided to go get some lunch and on our way out Jace refilled his glass with pop and luckily we were on the back porch outside unlocking the door when Embree decided that she wanted to help Jace carry his pop in and went to grab the cup and it fell on her bathing her in Mt. Dew it got in her eyes, nose and mouth as well we rushed her in and got her things in the washer and threw her in the bath. Jace went to run a load to the dump and I stayed to bath Embree, well we were almost done when all of a sudden our toilet started to bubble and explode everywhere and our tub wouldn't drain luckily Jace got home right then and ran down stairs to check on things and saw our sewer drain line gushing water everywhere. So long story short we were out of our house till we could get it fixed. We got ahold of a plumber through Jace's family and we thought that our only problem was a collapsed line well come to find out that all these 50+ years our sewer has not been connected to the city line it has been dumping in a drainage line in our neighbors back yard. No wonder there yard has been so green and no one lives there. Well after alot of money and time with our in laws (THANK YOU!) we finally got our sewer fixed and are finally home. Please let there be no more issues this year that is all we can wish.

well . . .

so this might be the last time for a while. This summer has been really hard financially, we have been hit really hard with the economy issues and so we are now getting rid of internet and everything else that we just can't afford. We love you all and hope that all is well with everyone. We ended up being able to go to Lagoon with Jace's family this past week and I don't know if I have ever had so much fun in my life!! His family was amazing with all the help they gave us. His grandpa and grandma paid for everyone to go into Lagoon so there were 14 of us and we had so much fun. Jace and I didn't go on many rides but the best part was watching Embree. She loved every minute of it. She was so wild and crazy and there was no stopping her. She loved to ride the rides and didn't want to stop! A complete change from last year when we took her. She was to small last year so she couldn't go on many rides and this year she was finally tall enough. Her favorite ride or rides where the kid versions of the Rocket, they were the lady bug and the dinosaur egg drop. She rode on them for an hour and a half and it was so fun. I don't know what is more wonderful then to watch your child loving life and so full of joy! Well I hope to be able to get a chance to update this and check on all of you. LOVE YOU ALL.

buckle up your in for a long one sorry!!! ^_^

Sorry but this is going to be long for the fact that I haven't updated in a long time! Well I am down one more semester and have only 2 more till I really graduate! So there is officially a light at the end of the tunnel but I don't know if that is reassuring but I am so nervous for these last 2 semesters! Especially because of student teaching and having to take the Praxis! Oh well I guess that is my fault for wanting to be a teacher. ^_^ Well Embree and I (mostly I) needed a break after a stressful semester. I was gone at about 7:30 to 8 in the morning to some night at 6 and some later if groups meetings happened. Embree kept coming to me and begging me to stop school and stay home with her. She towards the end of the semester would even cry the moment she heard that I had to go to class or even if I left the room because she thought I wouldn't come back. Well after school was over Embree and I again loaded up the car (Jace had to work so we left him behind :P) and went to Utah. We were only planning to be there for just under a week, well man o man did we have it coming! THE CAR BROKE DOWN THE DAY BEFORE WE WERE GOING HOME! Can you tell it was a little stressful! The steering column disintegrated and broke the rear breaks and shocks completely shot, so lots of money later we finally got home 3 weeks later. Jace came and visited for 2 days and we thought maybe we would just get a new car and say good-bye to this one because the same time last year the front brakes did this and so many more things. Well he came down and we found a car we loved and thought was in our budget but couldn't get a loan if we begged. So that idea shot we had to find a way to get it fixed and $1,200 later we were finally home.

Well then came our anniversary. We have now been married 6 years and decided that we would try something new. We went to our cabin for our honeymoon and for every year since but this year that was not an option. We did try but others were using it. Well we finally decided on going camping and got all the arrangements made and even had Grandparents watching Embree so we could go and have fun and she could be safe and happy to. Well we planned on camping in Yellowstone and were excited for it when we started at the weather though we were completely bummed! Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and northern Utah were all being flooded by RAIN (THAT HASN'T STOPPED YET!!) So we were about to just give up when I thought of Zion National Park. I went there twice about 7 or 8 years ago and loved it and the temperature down there was in the 60's and 70's and NO RAIN. Well of course it was to late to book any campsites there because the ones that you can reserve you have to reserve a year in advance. Well so our option was to leave the moment Jace got off work and book it there. The campsites are first come first serve and they are gone by noon. Well Jace got off work at 5am on Friday and so my great sister Liz came and stayed with Embree and watched her for the day till my Mom and Dad got off work so that I could leave and not have to wake her up. Well we were on the road by 5:10am and were doing great on time. We had figured out when we needed to get gas and figured that Nephi, Utah was the place. Well we saw the sign that the exit was next and then I started to sneeze and Jace looked away for a moment and then ... Nephi disappeared. Yep we missed it. We have never pushed our car past 330 miles and have only had it since February so haven't really had time to really try and push it to its limits but here we go 43 miles to the next gas station and exit. By the time that we made it the low fuel light came on right as we pulled in (which has always before that come on at 300 miles) we made it 369 miles in our little SUV! Yeah! Well then after that right out of Cedar City, Utah (our car is red just so you know) we were passed by this crazy driver and guess what of course there is a cop but who did he pull over... yep you got it us!! Jace had the cruse on the whole time and was going just the speed limit but got clocked apparently going 86 in a 75 zone. Boy and the cop didn't even talk to us, he came to the window we handed him the stuff and he walked away and then came back gave the ticket and said be safe pulling out and then was gone. $90 later for the ticket and we were finally on our way again. Well we planed on being to Zion's by 2pm and hoped and prayed there was a site open but to our luck we had no traffic the whole way and made it there by 12:30pm, and just by the hair on our heads lucked out with the last campsite. Well it was great we camped and hiked and loved it! Then the next day we ran into a couple of friends and decided to go to Las Vegas with them on Saturday till Monday morning. It was a blast we walked over 35 miles that whole time we were there in Las Vegas and boy did our bodies feel it. But it was Beautiful! The temp only got to 78 degrees and was beautiful. Well we left our friends on Sunday for our anniversary and hung out on the town together and that is when we walked 20 to 25 miles of all those miles. We just wanted to see the sights and walked and saw all the animal exhibits and had fun and yet didn't spend a dime gambling. (Honest Truth) Well then on Monday our journey back home started and we drove back through Zion's and went on Highway 89 to Brice Canyon and then to Centerville, Utah to spend the night with my grandma, and then we dove the rest of the way home on Monday.

Well basically that is it in a nutshell. We have wanted to play out side a ton this summer but because of the weather we have been stuck inside a lot. Embree has been able to play in our little blow up pool once and loved every moment of it! OH and I Finally have a real garden. Jace and my dad helped till up some of our yard and we now have a 10 x 12 garden and I still have my pots for our tomatoes and peppers. But now we have corn, beans, peas, carrots, onions, spinach and lettuce! I am so excited. Well I hope this finds everyone great and safe we love you all and I will definitely be updating more now!

Well I think it has happened, my mind is officially gone. I feel like this semester is taking its toll on me and really pushing me out of my comfort zone. But on the mind thing, for one of my classes we observe and teach in a 6th grade class here in St. Anthony and we are able to teach what ever we want. Well the day that my group gets to teach is on Wednesday and boy let me tell you it has been a chore but also a blast. Well today, we were teaching pirate and it is a subject I don't really know about but hey I am up for a new experience. I really studied and new the subjects that I was to focus on and teach and I felt confident that I would do okay teaching. Well it was time to teach and my mind went blank, I left all my notes at home because hey I had confidence and knew what I was doing. OH MY GOSH nothing I tried would help me to remember all I did the first 5 minutes was pray for help to remember what I was supposed to say when the guy stopped talking. It came to my turn and it went okay I started out with a question and it went okay and started to help me remember a little but the kids wanted nothing of it. I kept prodding them and nothing. Well because we are in such a diverse school we are not supposed to call each other by brother or sister and because we are teachers we are not supposed to call the others by their first name and what did I do at that moment to get some help call the one by the first name and the other brother. UUGGHH!! Boy then we get going and things are still not coming to me and apparently one of the other group members was having a hard time as well. Well we made it through and survived and I guess it ended up okay but wow I have never had so much troubles like that in my life. I know I am not perfect and I am regularly forgetting things and mixing things up but never this bad. Boy I sure hope it never happens like that again.

My Body Hates Me

Well it is official!! My body has truly turned against me in everything. I have now felt sick for almost a month now with no hope of what is going on. I have been to doctors and yet nothing just the comment it must be a virus, so we can't do anything. So this is my little two cents on doctors, I feel like at times they just want my money (which I don't have) and also just completely ignore all aspect of what I am saying. Well I guess I am done sorry but I needed to get it off my chest.

Well it is official I think that i have lost my mind. I am so busy that I can't even think. We are really struggling and on top of that school is ruling my life I may only get to see embree on saturday if I am lucky and sunday. I am going into withdrawls with not being able to see my family. To top that our financial situation just got worse. Jace was forced to quit his part time job by his best friend. I guess it was good in a way the mother of his friend worked there to and made it a living pain to work there and she was the reason jace got canned. Well to top that because of the economy and living in a college town and community no one is hireing so lets just say ouch. Well on top of that we had to get a second car because our other one died and wouldn't be resurected. So we bought a used 2001 saturn L series and we knew that it had problems but they guranteed they would be fixed and they would pay, well no matter how long it was in the shop it never got fixed and we were ending up in the same situation that we were in before. Well long story short every time we got in the car we got sick because the exhaust went right back into the car. Well we took it back after we found out it was a lemon and got another with a higher price without wanting and yet that is the only one they would give us. so we have been having trials but yet we are still a family and working together i just wanted to vent sorry.
